Twinkle Toes

Twinkle Toes, by, Angela Adame   edited by Children's.net

Annabelle loves dancing and ballet is her favorite art of dance.
Her dream is to be a ballerina, wearing the white beautiful tutu and the ballet shoes.
Her favorite move is the Arabesque which is on one leg with the other leg raised behind the body and extended as a straight line.
Her second favorite move is a Pirouette, which is a complete turn of the body on one foot point or demi  Pointe, she loves the spin.
She sees herself performing for Royalty or Presidents.
She thinks, ‘Oh what fun this will be,’ as she twirls in her room jumping and falling.
She doesn't care because she is a ballerina.
Her mother signed her up for ballet classes; she is so excited that she can't wait to go.
Today is her first ballet class.
“Yippee,” she yells as she twirls around the living room waiting for her mom to find her keys.
“OK Annabelle lets go,” her mom said.
“OK ma, hurry or I'm going to be late.”
“No you're not, OH wait, did you get your shoes?”
“Mom I'm wearing them!”
“Oh my, that's right,” they both laughed.
Annabelle made it to the dance studio and saw all the other little girls in their tutu's twirling around.
She couldn’t wait to do her two favorite dance moves.
Her teacher is Miss Lilly, who is jumping and spinning around.
“Wow,” Annabelle said.
“OK girls let's start class,” said Miss Lilly.
All the girls had their turn, twirling and dancing.
Now it was Annabelle’s turn, she was so excited.
“OK Annabelle it's your turn, let's see what you can show us.” Miss Lilly said. “OK Miss Lilly, I have been practicing before my mom signed me up; I just love ballet.”
Annabelle was in the middle of the room and performed her moves.
She fell once but that didn't stop her, she was determined to show Miss Lilly she could be a ballerina.
“Thank you Annabelle, I see that you have been practicing.”
“Yes Miss Lilly.”
“Good girl. Girl's make sure that you all keep practicing like Annabelle. We have our first ballet recital next month and we need lots of practice.”
Annabelle was excited to get the credit; she couldn't wait to tell her mom.
Miss Lilly dismissed the class and Annabelle told her mom the good news.

The end of the month came and it was time for the ballet recital Annabelle was ready.
Her families were in the audience for support.

The ballet recital started and she performs next.
She is dancing and twirling on stage.
Finishing her last jump she couldn't believe that she hadn’t fallen.
With a big smile and a curtsy she ran to her teacher; the audience applauded.

“Girls, you all made me so proud,” Miss Lilly said, “you will all get trophies!”

On the way home Annabelle had her trophy, and she knew that she had what it takes to be a ballerina.

Nancy's First Flower Garden

Nancy s  First Flower Garden ,  by, Angela Adame edited by Childrens-net

Nancy has a big backyard and she wants  to plant some pretty flowers .

She drove to the flower garden store it has lots of pretty flowers to choose from.
First she needs supplies to get her garden ready.
She walked into the store looking around; she needs a shovel, fertilizer, hose, and garden tools.
As it is summer she wants to get summer plants to put in her very first flower garden.
Hmm.. what kind should I buy?
Let me see, so many beautiful summer flowers.
OH, an Aster, a very beautiful purple color, yellow daisies so pretty, geraniums, petunias, marigolds, pansies, roses, lavender.
Nancy bought all these flowers as she wanted a verity of colors in her flower garden.

Now that she has all of them, and her supplies, she is ready to go back home.
She drove back home singing all the way.

When Nancy got home she went into her back yard and looked at her garden, she needed to make a big enough square.

She started to clear the area and used her new shovel to break the dirt.
Once she had done this, for the whole square, she was ready to add the fertilizer.
After spreading it around she was ready to plant her flowers.
So excitedly she started to plant the new beautiful summer flowers she had bought.

Once she had planted them all she added a cute little white fence around her garden so that the little animals will not come in to steal her flowers.

She's so happy, she is singing, and notices the butterflies and hummingbirds playing on the flowers.

Rosie's New Adventure

Rosie’s New Adventure by Angela Adame
edited by Children-net

Rosie awoke to a beautiful new day.
Yawning and stretching, she was so excited to be going outside to play with her new friends Hilda and Bobby. (who were little birds!)

What adventure awaits them today?

She heads out of the backdoor seeing Hilda and Bobby playing.
“MEOW MEOW, hey, can I play too?”
“Sure come on over here, we want to show you something.”
“What is it?”
“Hilda and I flew over the fence, we saw a big farm, and then, when we flew back we saw this hole in the wood fence.”
“Wow! What’s a farm?”
“Let's go and we will show you.”
Rosie crawled through the hole in the fence, she couldn't believe what she saw, it's huge.
Hilda yelled out, “Over here, we found a stream and it looks cool.”

“Moo Moo.”
“What's that?” Rosie said.
“A cow silly”
“Oh! What’s a cow?”
They both laughed.

The three of them started to play in the stream.
Rosie came face to face with a frog.
“What's that?” she said.
She sniffed it and it jumped, “RIB-IT RIB-IT RIB-IT”
They all played for half of the day.

A baby deer came by to sip water.
“Hey! It looks like you’re all having fun, can I play too?”
“Sure, I have never seen your kind before,” Rosie said.
“I'm a baby deer, my name is MeeMee.”
“Hi MeeMee, I'm Rosie and these are my two friends.
“Hi, Hi.” Hilda and Bobby said.
“Hoot Hoot.”
“I hear something, listen,” Rosie said.
“Oh that is just Mr. Owl, he hangs around in the trees, he's OK.”
“Let's go to my home, it's not far.” MeeMee said.
“OK, let's all go.”

They headed down the stream, playing all the way till they got to MeeMee's home.
“It's a cave,” they said.
“Where are we?” Rosie said.
“We are at my home, wow it's cool here.”
“Yes it is,” said Hilda and Bobby.
They played for the rest of the day until they had to go home.

Rosie waved bye-bye to her new friends as they went to their homes.
